In addition to our experience providing Information Technology services to an impressive list of customers, DataVise offers the many inherent advantages of a small business, including that of the close day-to-day involvement of our senior corporate management. We also offer the advantages of abundant depth and breath of personnel and resources that normally only a large company can provide. A key reason for our ability to attract and retain highly qualified people is our staffing process.
The DataVise staffing process focuses on ensuring effective and efficient recruiting, screening, hiring, and placement of personnel. We use the Internet extensively to locate and recruit qualified people. Our Corporate Website routinely lists available job openings for all locations within the company. We use Internet based resume’ services to staff some difficult positions. Additionally, our Senior Managers visit the Military Job Fairs. DataVise has a strong Military hiring preference. This policy makes very good sense as we have a preponderance of Military Support Contracts. We have also found that former military personnel have excellent training and the kind of work ethic we prefer.
The retention of qualified technical personnel is usually dependent on first job satisfaction and then benefits. To achieve job satisfaction we place an individual in a position closely associated with both their training and experience. We provide the individuals with a professional development path that advances them to new challenges based on experience and job performance. To the maximum extent possible, we attempt to promote from within the company. We provide employee compensation that is equal or better than other small IT companies. We provide a benefit package to include medical, dental and retirement savings that is better than most small businesses. We also assure that each member of the technical team is offered continued educational training at company expense. Because of these policies we have an extremely high retention rate (approximately 99% over the last 3 years). |
