Programs: Public Participation Program
The Public Participation Program sets forth a very general public involvement process for CAMPO. It describes how citizens, neighborhood associations, agencies, and transportation providers within the CAMPO area can become involved in the transportation planning process. This includes transit users, freight transportation providers and major freight shippers, minority, elderly, disabled, and low to moderate-income groups, and any private citizen or agency representative. CAMPO's goal is to provide citizens complete information, timely notification, and full public access to key decisions.
The activities described in the Public Participation Program will be the "minimum requirements" that CAMPO shall comply with. For more detailed public involvement procedures and activities, staff will develop a public involvement process that is project specific.
Public Opinion Surveys:
These reports summarize the results of ~1,600 interviews with peak-hour commuters in the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) area
and in Bastrop and Caldwell Counties. This survey gathered information on commuter patterns and behavior, as well as important transportation related issues.
